That’s quite a long and scary list!!
But you know, there ARE alternatives out there and isn’t your health worth taking that little extra time to find and try products that won’t kill you slowly?

You and your family are Worth the effort and possible small extra cost to get these toxins out of your body and your house.

Thanks for a timely and valuable post, goddess Cherrie!
    Bliss and blessings always.

I’m with you about toxins in cosmetics & personal care products! It is scary and to think Europe can force these things out but we have no government watch over them in the US.

Take a look at Glimpse by XanGo; the first completely toxic free skin care/ personal care/ cosmetics available.

You also have to watch out for things labeled “Natural”. Natural does not always mean organic. You are absolutely right. The only way to make sure is to read the labels.

And please use gloves when handling cleaning product.

I should really print out this list and check my make up and other products for these toxic chemicals. I had no idea there were so many of them. Even when I go shopping for make up this is a great list. My skin products are all pretty safe but my make up I’m not sure about.
    Thanks so much :-)

That is quite a long list of things to avoid. I can’t imagine how many are in my products right now. sigh…

Wow what a scary list! Even more scary is the number of them that are found in daily products, childrens products and makeup. Some of the ones in makeup are really unsettling as often as many women use makeup. Thanks for sharing this great list! Wonder if anyone makes a pocket card with all of these “avoids” on it.

Great post. I love it. You are making people aware of all the chemicals that are in everyday items. The more informed consumers are; the more they can make informed choices. I have been asked on my blog about some so-called ‘green products’ that of course were not! They just used some friendly green labels but were full of chemicals. However, I know here in Australia people are becoming more aware of the hazards and organic purchases are definitely on the increase which is great news.
