Words play a very big role in how we act. I was listening to a podcast from a religious figure and one things that he said that really struck me was him saying that; saying ‘I need to’ and so on is all well and good but how many of us say ‘I will’? The way he sees it, saying ‘I will’ has an even more powerful impact because you are telling yourself that you will get something done with more determination. What are your thoughts on that?

Saying “I will” is indeed more powerful than “I need” which, from what I’ve said in the post is one of the catabolic responses. “I will” is similar to “I choose to” but only if the person saying it really wants to do it and not coming from a feeling of being forced to. Thanks for dropping by, Gerri!
