Financial issues can really put stress on us moms, and stress is considered one of the major agers, so we want to avoid it as much as we can. It is very critical that we spend a portion of our mom time evaluating our financial situation and planning for it. The more we’re in control of it, the less we worry about it and the happier we are.
So, to jumpstart our quest for financial independence, I’m giving away three copies of Pay It down books this month. This book will show you step-by-step instructions on how to save, make more money, and stay ahead of the curve by paying off your debt.
Here are the rules:
1. Comment on all three posts:
1.1 My Hot Mom Tip: Reduce Your CO2 Footprint Part 2
1.2 Mom tips: What Is A Hot Mom?
2. Subscribe through email. It is very important that you do this step as the drawing will be based on this list using random.org. Once I have the winners, I will check if they left comments on the posts above. If a post is missed, I will choose the next one on the list and so on.
3. Additional points for people who will:
3.1 Tweet about this contest linking back to this post.
3.2 Announce this contest in Facebook, Friendster, LinkedIn, MySpace, etc. linking back to this post.
Contest ends on Feb. 28. Winners will be notified through email and should respond with your name and mailing address within 72 hours or will forfeit their prize.

Is the contest open to Canadians? Are the tips in book applicable to Canadians (ie does it discuss tax tips that aren’t applicable to us Canucks?). ‘Cause I would really like to win this book – my hubby and I are looking at creative ways (ie RRSP loans to get a big tax return to pay off all of our debt, which then turns our debt payments into RRSP payments – forced savings) etc… We would love MORE IDEAS.
Yes, the contest is open to everyone. The book is being sold to US and Canada so some aspects of it should be applicable to Canadians. Join the contest and if you win and get one of the books, you might be able to pickup one or two new things to implement on your journey to financial freedom.
Congratulations to Kim Varner, LJ Wilcox, and Lisa for winning!!!
