Lhey B. Ralston, my hot mom for this week, is a singer, and also doing photography and modeling on the side. She’s a 27 year old Filipina, born and raised in the Philippines and has been residing in the US for 5 years now, married to the most amazing man on the planet (we all say that, and we all mean it!). They have 3 kids – a 9 year old daughter, a 3 year old son, and an offspring due on 05/31.
Still adjusting to her new life as a stay-home wife and mom, Lhey is enjoying a new hobby of blogging and web designing. A singer who wants to be a beauty enthusiast at the same time, she wants to motivate all mommies out there that we can always look good and feel good about ourselves. She shares all her fashion tips, family, and fun adventures on her blog Mommy Lhey.
Balancing career and family was never a problem for Lhey because she knows how to prioritize. And for her, it’s always been family. Family comes first, no matter what. So right now, she just enjoys adjusting to her new life!
Lhey feels very blessed with both her kids because they never gave her a hard time. Yes they do have their “time-out” moments but they really are good kids. During the day when her daughter’s in school, she spends the whole day with her son and can still do all her “mommy time” online which she loves doing, next to singing.
Lhey is an electronic junkie too. She likes to do some blog-hopping during the day and update all her sites. She absolutely love makeups and collects MAC products which she says – one way to make mommy very happy!
Lhey believes that it’s very important that we take care of ourselves and that happiness comes from within. We have to be happy and content within our innerself so that happiness can shine through and by that way we make the people around us happy too. She likes feeling good about herself and tries hard even after 2 kids to stay fit and stay confident, for herself and her family.
To the moms out there, here is what Lhey have to say: “Never doubt yourself, know your importance… and the joy that you bring to your loved ones. Be confident and stay strong. Have a goal, and focus on how to achieve it. Negativity will never take you anywhere!”
In closing, here’s our hot mom of the week, with her very own rendition of “Just Once”.
I got a Flip MinoHD Camcorder for my birthday last March and have never been happier. I’ve been looking at getting this for myself for the past year but haven’t really gotten the time to shop around. Good thing hubby is very good at getting hints! LOL!
Anyway, here’s why I’m head over heels with my hot new toy:
All-new MinoHD is the world’s sleekest HD camcorder
Slim, sleek design fits in any pocket or purse–perfect for shooting video on the go
Captures 120 minutes of stunning HD video on 8 GB of built-in memory; no additional memory needed
Simple user interface–power on and press record to start capturing HD video in moments
Convenient flip-out USB arm plugs directly into your PC or Mac to launch pre-loaded FlipShare software
FlipShare software makes it easy to email videos, edit individual clips, make custom movies, capture still-image snapshots, and upload video to Facebook, YouTube and other sharing sites
Large, 2-inch anti-glare color display to play back and delete videos
Internal Lithium-ion battery recharges through built-in USB; also recharges when connected to Flip Video Power Adapter (not included)
HDMI output (mini-HDMI connector) makes it easy to watch your videos on your HDTV
All-new design features a unique brushed-metal front and soft, rounded edges
Features a flat-back panel with touch-sensitive, backlit buttons
Video: 16:9 widescreen, HD 720p (1280 x 720) at 30 frames per seconds (fps) progressive scan; recorded as MP4 files
I love the fact that my Flip MinoHD Camcorder is small enough to fit in my pocket or purse and is very convenient to carry. Being a mom of two kids, I have to carry these types of gadgets every single time coz I never know when an opportunity to shoot arises. So size and convenience really matters to me.
The quality of the video it produces is incredible! I first used it at our Hot Locks Dolls party which was indoors and was held at night. As you might have seen from the post, the video was ultra clear — totally in HD quality.
I didn’t have to read the manual before I used it. It was so simple to use that even my five year old was able to take videos without even asking me how to do it. The FlipShare Software that came pre-loaded was awesome. It made it very easy for me to organize and edit my videos, as well as capture still-image snapshots from the videos taken!
Though I had problems installing the FlipShare Software on my laptop the first time, it turned out to be an issue with my Internet Security software that was running on my laptop. Their courteous customer service rep helped me resolve it rightaway.
Sharing via email or uploading to social media sites like YouTube and Facebook can also be done from the FlipShare Software which saved me a lot of time coz I was able to do everyting I needed to do from one portal.
My husband bought my Flip MinoHD Camcorder from Costco for about $200. Amazon is offering the exact same thing for a much cheaper price and FREE shipping included.
About three weeks ago, I was at the top of my workout routine, doing the Shred, Zumba, EA Sports Active, and I even started running outside according to my last Fitness Family post. Then I got really, really sick with cough and colds. I normally don’t get sick, and even if I do, it just takes me a day or two to recover and I’m back on my feet again.
I took two days off from work on the first week supposedly to rest. I couldn’t workout since I would die coughing at the slightest hint of doing some cardio. Instead, I contented myself with walking outside with my family. I still tried to be active even without a formal workout. Heck we even went fishing. Being stubborn that I am, I tried to take advantage of my day offs and “extra” time by doing a lot of back end work on my blog -automating stuff.
Instead of resting and giving my body the time to heal itself, I was even staying up late nights coding and doing other geeky stuff. Two weeks later, I was still sick as hell!
Of course that’s when I realized what I was doing. Though I wasn’t literally tiring myself with workouts, I wasn’t giving myself the proper care and rest it needs to heal! Sick + lack of rest + lack of sleep = longer sickness! Duh!
Too bad I had to suffer for two weeks before I could even realize what I was doing. But the moment I started paying attention to what my body needs and giving it proper rest, the sooner I started feeling better.
I was able to do some yoga now. My plan is to slowly get back on my workout routine, maybe start with level 1 of the Shred again (ugh I was on level 2 already), then slowly add more once I get my momentum back.
Lesson learned: It’s not all about multi-tasking and how much stuff you can get done. Sometimes the best way is to just let go of things for a while and let your body heal itself so you can go back on your feet sooner.
Debbie Lattuga was blessed to be an at home mom to two wonderful little girls. And she is reaping the benefits now that her girls are 15 and 17 years old. She has been married to the man of her dreams for 20 years. When her girls got beyond toddlerhood, she realized that she wasn’t sure who she was anymore.
Before she married and had children, she was a working woman with lofty executive goals. But after she became a wife and mother, those goals didn’t fit anymore. She felt she was drowning in lack of identity. Being very left-brained, she was startled to discover that gardening and sewing could fill her soul. What she needed was a creative outlet.
It’s then she made a commitment to help other women tap their inborn creativity. She felt that creative expression filled her soul. Now Debbie is an expressive artist using visual art, music, dance and journaling as a way of connecting to herself and her community. As part of her creative outlet, she fell in love with photography and blogging. She started the blog Best SLR Camera as she witnessed the frustration her friends went through trying to by their first digital SLR camera.
But she felt that Best SLR Camera didn’t really fill her soul, so she breathed new life into an old blog called Invisible Heartstrings. It’s about filling your soul and finding your passion and staying on the path of personal growth. She helps people re-establish their creative connection and uplevel their happiness.
Debbie has found the best way to balance family and her blogs is by always putting family first. She works on her blogs early in the morning before her family gets up, and late at night. Her passion for her work makes this easy to accomplish.
But whenever Debbie faces challenges, she uses creative art to overcome them. Although growing up left-brained, she finds creative art the fastest path to discovering solutions to challenges. And whenever things become overwhelming, she heads to her art studio for rest and rejuvenation.
She feels all women would benefit by adding more creative expression to their lives. And by tapping their inborn creativity they will re-discover their inner light and then shine that light on the world around them.

Before I was a Mom - I slept as late as I wanted and never worried about how late I got into bed. I’d wake up anytime I want.
Before I was a Mom - I cleaned my house each day. I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn’t worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on – pooped on – spit on – chewed on, or peed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom - I never held down a screaming child so that doctors could do tests…or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom - I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn’t want to put it down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn’t stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom - I didn’t know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn’t know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn’t know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn’t know that something so small could make me feel so important.
Before I was a Mom - I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn’t know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom.
So to my Mom -
whose unconditional love for me made me the wonderful mom I am today, I can’t find enough words to say how grateful I am for having you as my Mom. I love you so much, and I pray that God continue to bless you with good health, abundance and happiness you very much deserve.
And to all my hot moms -
here’s to us for another year of doing such a great job shining our light to our lovely kids and families. May God continue to strengthen and bless us so we may in turn overflow our families with our unconditional love.
Rebecca Fyfe is a wife and a mother to seven children from the ages of 1 through 18. She was born and raised in California, but moved to England in 2002 to be with her English husband. She creates designs for her on-line store and recently has branched out by searching out other artists’ great designs to add to her products to sell in her store at Moonduster’s. She also has an affiliate store called Princess Parade.
Becky is a writer. She is working on two novels in the fantasy and science-fiction genre, and she has written three children’s stories which are currently in the process of being illustrated. She also blogs regularly.
Becky blogs on many subjects. She has a blog about her weight loss of almost 140 pounds at Skinny Dreaming, a blog about the challenge of writing at Imagine! Create! Write!, a blog about princesses (in honor of her younger daughters who love princesses) at Princess Parade, a blog about fairies at Fairy Magic Gifts, a blog about her family at Giggles & Kisses and even a blog about her unusual dreams at Moonduster’s Dream Journal. She has created Facebook pages for all of her blogs and tries to keep them up-to-date.
Becky finds it challenging to balance her work and her family life. Having small children means her time is not her own. Throughout her day, she has to try and fit in work on her on-line stores and on her blogs with time for exercise, time for household chores and time for her kids. While some of her kids are school-aged, she still has some younger children at home who demand a lot of her time during the day.
Becky has found that in order to keep some measure of control in her life, she has to let the housework slide a bit, and she has to prioritize her responsibilities. Her children are important to her, especially because they are young and growing fast. She knows that she will never be able to get these days of their childhood back once they are gone, so they come first in her priorities. She uses her children’s naptimes and quiet playtimes to get some of her work and exercise done. She manages to fit in more work and writing once the children go to bed at night.
Becky uses her time to exercise as time for herself. She has managed the skill of reading while using the elliptical crosstrainer in her home, and so manages to get in a bit of reading while she exercises. She has always loved reading and so this helps her to look forward to her exercise sessions on the crosstrainer. She and her husband wait until all of the younger children have gone to bed and then, leaving the teenagers in charge, they go for long walks together with their dog. This gives them quiet time alone together to chat about the day’s events and to touch base with each other.
Becky considers her time exercising, her time reading and her time with her husband as equally important. Keeping the marriage strong and the two of them feeling connected is important in keeping the family unit strong as a whole, and keeping herself fit, strong and energetic is important both in being a good example for her kids and in being healthy enough to cope with raising them. She believes strongly that she owes it to her kids as much as to herself to be as healthy as she possibly can be. Reading helps her to enrich her mind and helps keep her imagination fresh and active. As with exercise, the act of reading provides a good example for her children.
Becky believes that every mother out there needs to believe in herself and in her ability to achieve her dreams. In losing almost 140 pounds, Becky learned a valuable life-lesson and that is that nothing is out of your reach if you are willing to believe in your ability to achieve it and if you are willing to take whatever steps are necessary to get you to your dream.

You wanna stay young and fabulous? Or wanna be one? Make sure you have these four common habits ingrained into your lifestyle:
Do not smoke. If you do, quit now.
Do not drink. If you do, keep it under two drinks per day.
Work it! Move it! Get at least two hours of physical activity per week.
Eat fruits and vegetables at least three times daily.
Simple behaviors, but adds up together. According to the article I was reading, studies show that people who smoke, drink too much, have inactive lifestyles and have poor diet combined, can look 12 years older and have increased risk of death by heart disease and cancer.
I don’t know which one is scarier. Looking 12 years older than your real age, or acquiring a fatal disease, but adopting a healthy lifestyle now will increase the odds of you living longer, and looking younger. Totally a win-win!
This week, was pretty exciting. In celebration of Earth Week, I’ve decided to cut down on electricity and do my workouts outside instead of my usual 30 Day Shred, EA Sports Active, or Zumba. So I tried running outside! And I liked it! It was definitely harder than running on the treadmill, that’s for sure. But for some reason, I enjoyed the outdoor/nature scenery. I just wish I’ll find a walking/running path instead of the sidewalk concrete which is kinda hard on my knees. I ran three times this week, yay!
Yesterday, we went to Sushi Station, our family’s favorite, and I ate a lot of the seaweed salad again. Man oh man, I can’t get enough of this salad, I’m really addicted to it! I wish I could find a recipe that’s been tested already. If you have one, please send it to me!
Today, Sunday, I continued with the 30 Day Shred, this time, level 2. I did it after running outside. Oh my goodness, level 2 was hard! I was cursing Jillian all throughout the workout! My arms and legs were shaking! My face was all red, my husband got worried about me. Man that was a good workout!
My plan for next week? Continue running outside and do the 30 Day Shred level 2 for at least three times. Tomorrow, Monday, I would be at work so it will just be walking – a lot for me, at least 10K.
I hope you all have a fabulous, active week my hot moms!
