Now that you’ve written your SMART goals and is on your way to achieving them, it’s extremely important to find and get support. Why? It’s very easy to lose track if you’re on your own.
- Get your family on board, make them understand what you’re trying to accomplish and how important it is for you to get their support and understanding.
- Find other people or groups with similar interests and join them. Many of these groups motivate and support each other. You can meet with them online and report your progress even on a daily basis.
- Journal your progress. This will help you keep track where you are and how you’re doing. It will also help you decide whether you need to change course or continue to move on.
- Celebrate your milestones with your family and support system.
I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to find your own support system in your journey. Transforming my family’s lifestyle into a healthy lifestyle wasn’t easy for me. I fought my way through the healthy eating – now we only buy organic and all-natural, we don’t buy soda at all. My kids have been trained to drink water throughout the day and ignore soda. They understand that they can eat chips and/or chocolates during the weekend if they choose to. They also KNOW that they are to stay away from junk foods on the weekdays. I have banned toxic cleaning chemicals from my house. I was successful with that aspect, except for the exercising and getting active part. It’s easy to slack off. Not until I found myself a support group who helped me be accountable to my goals. Now I’m working out regularly, the kids are into Figure Skating and are active as ever, my husband have started the “family walk”. All because I found the motivation and accountability to follow through.
You might think it’s hard to find a support group, finding online groups is as easy as ever. You can search at Twitter or facebook, there are tons of people forming groups to help and support each other. I have also started my own I’m A Hot Mom community here which is aimed for this particular purpose — to help moms network, connect, build relationships, be inspired, get empowered, achieve their goals, and reach their potential.
I hope you join me and the other young and fabulous moms here, all you have to do is just create an account, it’s free. Activate your membership from your email and you’re all set. I’m also giving away prizes for the members, so join us now and let’s help each other out achieve our goals!

I’m nodding my head in agreement as I read this.
ALL the goals I have been successful in attaining were because I had Accountability and Support.
That’s not to say you can’t achieve anything all on your lonesome ~ but it makes it a
hang of a lot easier and a whole lot more fun when you have your own Cheering Squad!

Yup! I’ve found the most amazing supporters online! They’ve helped to hold me accountable. I know I can still do better, but i’m much better than where I was before I met them!! (You’re included in there!)
I’ve found it easier than ever to find a support system online and through blogging. Lots of great women/moms out there.
