It was the weirdest dream I ever had. I got a phone call from Dooce who just wanted to greet me a happy birthday. First of all, my birthday is in March. Second, the famous Dooce doesn’t even know I exist so why the hell would she waste her time to call me? Anyway, here’s how the call went… ring, ring, ring!
Me: Hello?
Dooce: Cherrie? Hi! It’s Heather!
Me: Heather who?
Dooce: Heather Armstrong.
Me:(fell down from my chair after realizing who I was talking to) Ouch! I mean, hi Heather! Are you really Dooce?
Dooce: Don’t be silly, of course I am. Just wanted to greet you a happy birthday! Listen, I’m sooo tired, haven’t had enough sleep lately… How you’ve been? (then proceeded to give some orders to her nanny in the background, in tagalog!)
Me: Aren’t we all tired? Don’t worry, it’ll get better. Hey, did I just hear you speak tagalog?
Dooce: Of course! Sicily, remember?
Me: (I have no idea what that meant! Sicily is in Italy and tagalog is the Filipino language!) Oh yeah! Sure! Why don’t you come over here so we can chat some more at dinner.
Dooce: Oooohhh! Can’t wait to have a home cooked meal! See you later! ciao!
I woke up with that twilight song playing in my head and started thinking what that weird call means. There’s only one thing I can think of why that call happened. That Dooce is looking to hire me as her cook, LOL!
