It’s a sad week in my showbiz world. Just when I’ve decided to start watching the show Jon & Kate Plus 8, Jon and Kate announced that they are separating. Ugh! Even if I’m not really a follower, I just felt sad about it. I get attached easily, especially when there are kids (and in their case, a lot of kids!) involved. And although those kids’ financial future may already be set, I hope they’ll be able to cope up emotionally with what their family is going through. Add to that the fact that their situation is magnified by media. I hope Jon and Kate can still patch things up and be one big happy family again!
Anyone who watched Charlie’s Angels in the 80s would definitely know Farrah Fawcett. I was in my elementary years that time and I really did enjoy watching the show. I started seeing Farrah again on the TV last month when her documentary on her long battle with cancer was aired. I just saw bits and pieces of it during commercials. I’m not in the habit of watching drama and sad movies so I skipped that one, or else I would be sobbing and crying like a baby! Yes, I admit, I’m a cry baby when it comes to drama but for some reason, my husband seems to enjoy watching me sob during movie nights. So long, Farrah! May you now rest in peace.
Now Michael Jackson’s death really stunned the world. I was driving home when I heard the news and I had to stop and check my twitter if I really heard it right. He was really the “music” during the 80s, I even remember dancing to his “Thriller” and “Billy Jean” hits in school! Oh well, maybe that was too much information, but hey, I was trying to remember how I enjoyed him duriing his King Of The Pop times! To Michael Jackson, who brought me such happy memories listening to his hits, I hope you’re happy and in peace wherever you are!
