Tyesha is a military spouse and a mother of two wonderful kids. Tyesha has a son Tre’ who will be 11 years old in July and her little princess Niyah will be 5 in September. Tyesha and her husband just recently celebrated their 10 year anniversary where he re-proposed to her. Tyesha lives on the military base at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii and isn’t too fond of living in Hawaii due to the long distance between her friends and family. Tyesha and her family will be leaving Hawaii in September for another military move and is really looking forward to their move. Tyesha just recently became a SAHM mom due to their upcoming move and is enjoying being home with her kids. About a week ago Tyesha worked full time outside of the home for the government. Tyesha recently received her BA in 2009 with a concentration in HR Management. She is currently working towards her MBA and is half way done with her studies. Tyesha has worked majority of her life and it’s definitely a struggle trying to juggle being a mom, wife, work, school, weight loss, and everything else in between. She believes it’s a true challenge especially with her husband being a soldier in the army and having to deploy so often. It makes it 3 times worse because then she goes from having her spouse’s help to none at all and then having to transition yourself into SINGLE MOM mode. My hats are definitely off to all those who are single mom because it can definitely overwhelming. To overcome those challenges Tyesha tries to surround herself around positive people who she can related with to as well as those who can relate to the whole military lifestyle. Tyesha believes it’s best to keep busy during deployments to help the time past quicker. Another thing that Tyesha enjoys is shopping, surfing the internet for deals, spending time with friends and family, working out, and talking and meeting new people. Tyesha just recently started a blog to discuss her passion for fashion, beauty, decorating, makeup and her life with her loving family. Tyesha’s blog is located at http://www.diaryofachicmommy.com Tyesha is also an Independent Consultant for Partylite and you can shop her store online 24/7 at http://www.partylite.biz/neverendingcandles.com
While Tyesha’s husband was deployed last year she was able to lose 40 pounds and it’s now a struggle to get past that and she sometimes felt like giving up. Weight loss is very challenging and it’s important to have achievable goals and stay focused and remember “IT’S TOO EASY TO GIVE UP”. Tyesha finds that the hardest challenge is to keep the weight off rather than lose it so my goal is to work harder and stay determined and I’m sure I will get rid of the additional weight I am looking to lose. It’s important for us as moms to take care of ourselves and keep healthy. We have to work on having better eating habits and try to incorporate some type of workout schedule several times during the week.
Make sure to never give up because all things are possible just put your mind to it stay determined. It’s also important to have some type of support system to back you up so that you don’t feel alone. It can be very difficult to stay focused and motivated and that could result in you giving up; therefore, it’s really important to have some type of support from either friends or family. So again stay focused and remember “ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE…IF YOU JUST GIVE IT YOUR ALL.”

Tyesha, that’s a whole lot of achievements you wrote in there! That’s what I call real determination. It’s unfortunate that there are some moms who think that they have to give up their dreams once they become a mom. But you proved them wrong, girl! You were able to finish your college degree with two kids, a fulltime job, and being a military spouse! And not only that, you’re even halfway done with your MBA! Not to mention being successful with your 40-pound weight loss, your partylite biz, and blog!
All I can say is, WOW! I’m so proud of you and so honored to feature you here. You are a great role model to our hot mom community. Keep rockin’!

Thanks so much Cherrie for this I really do appreciate it. You are right it is hard and many moms do believe that they have to give up on the things they want to do in life, but that’s not the case..you just have to work twice as hard at what you want and in the end it will pay off.
Thanks again Cherrie
Awesome Job Tyesha Congrats!

Tyesha I know how difficult it can be living far from your family. Hopefully the next move will allow you to be closer.
Congrats on the weight loss. I know I struggle with it and commend you for sticking with it.
