Linda’s a happily married mother of 8 and grandmother of 3 with two more on the way! At 46yrs, she no longer fits into the category of ‘young mother’ but will always be young at heart! She’s loved her years as a mother and now her children have grown to be wonderful contributing members of society!
Linda was born in Michigan November 15, 1963, the second child of two wonderful baby boomers. Her mom and dad were high school sweethearts, born and raised in Evart , Michigan . They moved Linda and her brother to the city of Clawson where they were part of the suburban craze of the 60′s and 70′s. It was a wonderful life!
Linda graduated from East Anchorage High School in 1981, then from college at BYU – Utah in 1987. After obtaining a bachelors of social work, Linda became a group counselor at the abused women’s shelter in Anchorage .
When her 4th child was born, Linda decided to be a full-time mother. During that time she devoted her time to nurture a 26 year marriage, and raise 8 children, preparing them for responsible adulthood. Linda volunteered in her children’s schools, church youth program and put into practice all that she learned.
In 1995 Linda was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis which put a bump in her plans to go back to work as a counselor when her kids were in school. It’s been a great learning experience. You can watch Linda’s story here.
When she accepted her new reality and truly embraced it, she created this blog.
