Wow – I didn’t know that about nail polish *shiver*. I’m going to have to through out all the polish we own – do you know of a safe GREEN way to discard nail polish?

      Cherrie says:

The simplest way is to pour the contents out into a newspaper and let it dry where no animals can touch. Also dry out the polish left inside the bottle, then you can both toss it to the garbage — once it has completely dried out. What I don’t like about this method aside from being messy is the exposure to the fumes.

Another way is to dispose it as a hazardous material by taking it to a TSDR (Treatment, Storage, Disposal or Recycling Facility) drop-off site which is the method I prefer, especially if you have a lot of toxic nail polish to get rid-off.

These methods by the way are listed on: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080527095454AAZ4jHZ
