This is exactly how I looked and felt for the past two days. Scared to death, uncertain, annoyed, distraught, gassy, and even pukey! Who knows how much antacids have I devoured today… The chimp probably even looked better!
It was an absolute horror! And definitely NOT a good way to spend my mom time. It’s like being in the firing squad, only I was with those lined up against the wall, waiting to get hit…
Fortunately, I survived this one. And though I now feel better and absolutely grateful for having been able to keep my job, my heart bleeds for those who were not able to. I will truly miss you, guys

I’m sorry you went through this. We did too, but this time we did not survive… my husband lost his job on Monday. It’s tough times, none of us are immune and it’s just so sad… dang Chrysler and stupid bail outs have caused me to look like that monkey too – probably I still do!
I’m so sorry to hear that, DawnS. I tried not to get consumed by it. We were told like two months ago that this is coming. Believe it or not, I did not even looked at my resume, or went looking for a job. I just focused on doing something else — something productive. But nothing really prepared me for THE DAYS that they were actually doing it.
You’re right, no one is immune from this. And though your husband got hit this time, he’ll probably get something better, in return. Hang in there, sister!
And because a lot of people are going through this, like us, the monkey look is probably “IN” these days
Gosh I am sorry to hear you were sick but happy you kept your job. Now maybe I missed another post but were you coming down with a flu type sickness? It sounds like others were sick too and lost their jobs? That’s too sad!
I am glad you are better though! Keep in touch, Brandy
It’s just mental and emotional sickness for the most part. With just heartburn and puking for the physical aspect! gross
xoxo!
Hope you’re feeling better now….You are lucky!
We lost our contract since October 2008. Luckily, we saved enough of the “good times”" that we’re still fine..
It is stressful..Hopefully, it gets better soon for everyone (of course, including me!)
Keep smiling =D
It will get better soon — for all of us! I’m sure of that! Stay happy too!
Cherrie-I am so sorry to hear that you have had to deal with this! It’s so hard. We have had so many good years, that it is so shocking to see how this economy is affecting so many. I don’t think there is anyone not affected in some way. It’s true that you have to be thankful to have your job! I am so sorry for those that lost theirs!!
