Half a pound? That’s awesome! Think about it; you’ve had two whole weeks of not working out regularly, and you’ve only gained HALF A POUND! My weight jumps up loads when I stop my workouts just for a day! (Okay, I do know that some of it is just water weight, but still!)

I think it’s great that you are having regular walks as a family; it’s really good for the children to grow up being active and seeing it as a normal part of family life. :)

You will get back on track, don’t worry about it! And you have 3 months to look your best for your upcoming trip :) Looking forward to reading about how you motivate yourself to start your workouts again! Have a great week.

I love how water is the only option at your house. That sounds like a family success to me. Good luck getting your bearings back this week. Plan and recommit. I hope you have a more engaged/optimistic tone next week.

Good luck with moving back into your normal workout schedule. I’m happy that you didn’t see too much of a weight gain, keep up the healthy eating. And I look forward to seeing your tweets.

You are a great role model for your family and ours! Some weeks off are fine, sometimes the body and mind need it. Just get back with working out…and continue those family activities and you will be just fine! I wish I could have your motivation for the food part…that is where the busy days fail for me. I started the 6 wks active challenge…so maybe we can cheer each other on with that…where are you with yours?

Congrats on the kiddos doing so well with their skating! Cute pic too!

Oh, but it’s so wonderful that you’re doing things together as a family! And carrying the pug is good resistance for you! You’ll get back to the workout routine, I’m sure. Life gets busy sometimes. Keep looking forward!

I LOVE what you have been doing with your kids. Just get a pedometer and keep it on each day. That is what I do when I get busy. I just get to 10K steps everyday. Then when I get to exercise, I do it really hard.

well carrying the dog is a workout im a petsitter and sometimesi have to carry one of the terriers i petsit for cause he has a tendency to go bark at the other dogs or not want to come in but he weights like 10 lbs easy so thats like weight lifting for me.
