This week has been tough. Swamped with work, there were only 2 days where I reached more than 10K steps. The goal was to do that for 3 days in a week. I was only able to do EA Sports Active More Workouts for 3 days instead of 4 days.
There was even one instance when I just grabbed my laptop and put it in the treadmill so I can walk while working. It was fun doing that but I seriously need a desk. Blocking it with one hand from falling while typing with the other hand is hard. That was when I told Kim of @mentallyinked and from Mamavation (awesome group of people, by the way) what I did, and she came up with the idea of putting a wooden board on the treadmill to act as a desk.
It was a brilliant idea! I love it. I love it so much that I stopped by Home Depot on my way home from work the next day to get my own board so I can start using it on my treadmill too, only to be asked by the guys there about measurements and stuff. Ah, duh??? Of course I don’t have it. What was I thinking! So I came out of Home Depot without a smiling, excited face.
Hubby measured it today and promised me he’ll get the board this weekend so I can start using it next week, I’m crossing my fingers.
I didn’t lose weight this week, but I didn’t gain any either so I’m happy. Food-wise, we’re good. Consuming more fruits and veggies everyday. Even my 5 year old’s requesting for more okra! So happy about it. Water’s not an issue. I carry my 16.9 oz glass wherever I go. Just 4 of those and I’m good for the day, though I consume more than 4, I’m sure, plus my green tea. No wonder I’m bff’s with my bathroom. Kids each carry their 18 oz flask with them to school everyday and consume more water when they’re home.
Goal for next week is just to maintain my routine — 10K steps, 3 days per week, and EA Sports Active — 4 days per week, and continue with more whole food consumption and minimize processed food consumption as much as possible.

Well, it sounds like your doing great! I didn’t lose any this week either. I don’t know how you can run on the treadmill and work! That’s some good multi tasking!
Hehehe… I was walking, not running. Try it one time. It’s fun… I usually get bored on the treadmill and I can’t stand it. But working while walking takes the boredom out of it, and getting those steps to 10K is just a breeze

The board idea is fantastic. I’ve seen some treadmills (online) that are made with that purpose in mind – they have a very stable desk top – and I’m pretty sure some of the people from the Gruve company use them. Great way to up those steps and get to green (or 10K!) Nice job, as always!
