My Weight Chart:
Can’t believe it’s been eight weeks already since I started my journey to fitness with my Mamavation family. The support I get from the group is unbelievable, not to mention accountability, which has helped me maintain my motivation in working out. To my Mamavation family, I heart you all sistas!
I’m really happy to update you with my progress this week. I have lost another 1.5 lbs! A total of 6 lbs since Jan. 1, 2010. Yay! I’m really happy with my progress. I’m grateful for having been able to consistently workout despite my shoulder injury. The injury’s getting better, slowly, but surely. In fact, I’ve been gaining more range of motions every week. Therapy’s still in progress, and they’ve added infrared light with it last week to accelerate healing.
The whole family’s doing good with fruits and veggies consumption. I discovered that if I prepare the fruits first thing in the morning (peel, cut, and serve), and just leave it ready to eat on the counter, they’re bound to consume more and actually finish them. Since I wake up early in the morning to prepare their lunch and snacks for school which includes fresh fruits, I can prepare more fresh fruits for the whole family’s consumption for the day. We’ve consumed a lot of spinach, carrots, okra, onion, asparagus, tomatoes, oranges, pears, apples, and kiwis this week.
Water intake is also good – for everyone. I’m halfway done on my EA Sports Active More Workouts six week challenges. Yay! I wasn’t able to reach my 10K steps goal on the days I wasn’t working out, except on Friday. Most days I was able to only reach a maximum of 8K because I’ve been busy with my work.
Goals for next week: Continue with the healthy lifestyle I’ve been establishing with my family, and aim to reach 10K steps at least 3 days per week. Just be aware to be active all day.
Hope everyone’s doing good as well!

Girl, awesome job on EVERYTHING you have been doing! I just started my more easactive workouts yesterday, I really love the other choices I have. Unfortunately my wii board is acting out stating “step off and then press A” and no one is on it lol. Anyway, I think it’s great too that your kids are eating the fruit. The key is to have it already out there where they can just grab because if I know correctly kids won’t mess with an orange peel or remove an apple skin on their own. Ty for sharing

Okra – I’ve never really tried it. Have any good recipe’s? My kids are the same, though, in that if I slice the produce and leave it out, they nibble like bunnies.
