- I am officially done with the EA Sports Active 30-day challenge. Yay me!
- My EA Sports Active More Workouts has arrived this week. Just in time! I’ll start with the six week-challenge tomorrow. I will have more details about it on my next week’s post.
- I found my Taebo tapes. I bought a set a long, long time ago (that’s why it was still on VHS tapes, lol!) and completely forgot about it. Now that my body has grown accustomed exercising with the 30-day challenge, I can probably step it up a notch and add some Taebo with it for more cardio. Woo hoo!
- As some of you may know, I am a certified empowerment coach and I’d like to use my passion of helping people become their best by holding the Young And Fabulous series every Tuesdays. This series of posts will be modelled after the Core Energy Coaching which embraces the philosophy that lasting change will occur ONLY when you look at where the energy is in wanting to make changes in your lives. Challenges:
- I kept being distracted by my cravings. It was an odd week because I am not really one who craves for sweet things, but all I have been fighting off were cookies and chocolates. Lesson learned, I will not bake cookies anymore, it was just too tempting. There are no chocolates in the house anyway so I can just crave all I want and probably just sleep it off, lol.
- My biggest challenge was my left shoulder / arm pain. I thought it was getting better last week, but it just came back. My chiropractor who was providing the therapy had to order an MRI because it wasn’t responding to treatments. They needed to see if I tore something inside. Hopefully not so I won’t have to do surgery. Otherwise, I would have to deal with recovery and further therapy which would significantly impact my working out. I would have the results on Monday, so we’ll see.
So, there you goes my update for this week. I wouldn’t have completed the 30-day challenge without the help of my Mamavation moms who keeps me accountable to this goal. Thank you so much and I’m really thankful to be part of the Sistahood.

I studied at iPEC (Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching) for six months. It was totally unrelated to my bachelor’s degree (Computer Science) but I just found myself wanting it so bad.
It was a pretty intensive course but it’s totally worth it.

wow I am surprised you can do the easactive with a sore shoulder. Did you skip the arm workouts? My shoulder has been sore this week, so I have been limiting arm workouts to things I can do that I do not have to lift my arm above shoulder height. Now my back is sore…think because i have to lift often, and wiht sore shoulder might be lifting more with my back.
Congrats on finishing 30 day challenge…enjoy the more workouts….I really like it better than the other, just because it doesnt bother my knees like the other one.

No, I didn’t skip the arm workouts. I can still do them up to a certain point. I have restricted range of movements so I stop when I hit something painful, then go on with the rest of the exercises.

Good job for fighting through and working out! Have you been resting your sore shoulder? Joint pains are so debillitating! I hope the MRI doesn’t show anything major (ie: labrum tear etc..). Keep up the god work!

I can’t wait to hear about more of the EA sports active exercises you will be doing. I think you’re doing so great! I know what you mean about chocolate and certain cookies hanging ’round the house. DH had a candy bar on his dresser and LEFT it when he went to work!! Er, um sad to say he didn’t see it when he came back
I hope your shoulder gets better and that there isn’t anything that will come back from xrays that have you limited on exercising. Keep up the great work!

i have a bad foot injury, so i am going to try joining a gym and using the bikes or something that won’t hurt so bad. I have to “get moving”

Congrats on completing the 30 day challenge! I too had some of those old VHS taebo tapes but I don’t have them anymore! I wish that I did – they kicked my butt back in the day and I’m sure they would now. I hope that your shoulder continues to heal so that you can optimize your workouts!

I’m with you regarding not baking cookies. If they are in the house, I will eat them. So I don’t make them anymore (and I don’t buy them either!).
I do crave chocolate, although not as much as before, so I keep some dark chocolate hidden away and allow myself 1 oz when I have a craving. Love my dark chocolate!

Congrats on finishing the 30 day challenge. And I sympathize with you on the cravings. I try guzzling about 12 ounces of water whenever I get a craving.
And if it’s really bad, I try making a cup of flavored tea. Holding the cup in my hand, and focusing on the steamy aroma helps divert my attention.
