Here’s my progress report for the week on our fitness family efforts as part of the Mamavation campaign:
Successes:
- Hubs and I were able to complete day 17 of the EA Sports Active 30 day challenge. Woot! Woot!
- I stepped on the scale today and to my surprise, I lost 3 lbs! Yay me! I’m so happy because I am not dieting at all. Just being more conscious on eating more whole foods than processed ones.
- My hubby shares a similar success. He also lost 3 pounds this week. Yay him!
- Special thanks to my mother in law for bringing in loads of fresh organic fruits.
Challenges:
- My left arm / shoulder is bothering me a lot this week. Woke up one day, injuring myself again in my sleep. It felt like I had a pinched nerve or something. Chiropractor confirmed that it is indeed a pinched nerve and is treating it.
- Feeling pretty much weak at the start of this week. Thought I was coming down with something so I’ve been drinking lots of freshly squeezed lemonade and oranges to counter.
- Stress from work is slowly creeping in on me as more and more tasks are being added to my plate. Nevertheless, I still continued to follow the EA Sports Active workout routine and added some yoga from Wii fit.

Doing awesome on moving girl! And knowing from reading your posts, you eat pretty healthy too. Congrats to you and your DH on the lbs. lost! Take it slow chicky and just do something quiet for yourself like meditate or the like.

Exercise will help you handle stress alot better. You’ll notice that you won’t feel your chest tightening so often at work if you’ve been exercising everyday.

Yay for the 3 lb loss!! I’m also working on eliminating the processed foods from our diets. I feel like it’s really making a difference in how I feel, as well as in losing weight.
I agree that the workouts will help with the stress. Keep up the great work!

congrats to both of you on your losses! My sister had problems with her shoulder doing the 30 day challenge…I think she decided to check off some of the arm workouts and add in different ones after to lessen the pain.
Way to Go on the weight Loss!!! AWESOME!! You are doing a great job with you EAS Active. I have not been very consistent with mine. I try to do it on off gym days, but I need to do it on my gym strength days, too. Congrats on your week.
