Three things I absolutely, positively love about the internet:
- Faster and cheaper way of communication – from emails; to calling my family overseas for free using skype; to connecting with people through social media; and of course, ability to connect to networks, allowing me to work from home.
- Makes my life easier – from online banking, paying bills, researching, finding deals, to online shopping. And did I mention online shopping??? With eighty three gifts to shop for (that’s excluding my family!) this christmas, this is actually what saved my mom time AND sanity during shopping.
- Helping to better the world while surfing the net!
The third one is actually my favorite. I feel good knowing for a fact that I’m helping raise money for my chosen network – as of this posting, I helped raise $2,926 for Children’s Miracle Network, without actually spending a single cent. I just downloaded the browser sidebar, posted the badge on my facebook since I have an account, and went on with my normal online surfing habits. That’s it!
Of course I also tried to encourage my friends and family to join, tweeted about it, and posted their widget on my blog, but that’s because I wanted to reach out to as many people as I can. Everytime I get an email from them informing me they have reached a goal like paying for a child’s hearing test, flu vaccine, etc., it makes me feel happy and empowered that I was able to take part in such a good cause. And I’m sure my hot mom community would like to take part in such a worthy cause and feel empowered as well!
So whether you’re interested in the environment, health, or humanity, there will be a cause that will align to your interest. You can check the list of their causes here.
If you would like to join us make a difference and help better the world without costing you anything, click here. It’s the best gift you’ll give yourself this christmas.

What a great cause, thanks for sharing it with us!
The good thing about the internet is it is a good educational tool. I wish this tool was available to me when I had to sit for my school exams, many years ago. How much time they would have saved me, and I would not have had to rely on textbooks when I could get so many reference sources and points of view online.
