I’m Cherrie D. Bautista, born and raised in the Philippines as Cherrie B. Dejolde (my maiden name). I migrated in Chicago in 1998 as part of the Y2K efforts where I met my wonderful and supportive hubby. I have a bachelors degree in Computer Science which explains why I’m so addicted to techy stuff like iPhone, and laptops. I have three laptops at home – one in the office, one in the bedroom, and another in the kitchen which I share with my husband and kids. My iPhone serves to fill in those gaps I’m not in any of those areas. I hope to add a Mac book to my collection someday.
I love coding and programming things to make my life easier. I create macros in my excel, word, and access database, because I’m way too lazy to cut and paste. I was a hot geek way before I became a hot mom!
Now that I’m a hot mom, I love pampering myself with weekly massages, regular pedicures, and facials. I love Guess purses! My girls are named Gabrielle and Gizelle, so I love wearing anything that has the “G” logo in it. And oh, I love anything purple, pink and princessy!

Not that I like to splurge and waste money, I just want to feel good. Doing things that would make me feel good and happy like getting enough sleep, eating right and working out is my top priority. No, I’m not selfish, but I don’t feel guilty as well. See, if I’m happy, everyone else in my family is happy. If I feel good, then I can serve my love ones better. I work very hard as a mom, and I take my job very seriously. I’m very much devoted to fulfilling my family’s needs and I want to be the best mom I can be. I don’t want to be a whiny, grumpy, “always complaining”, fat and ugly mom. I want to enjoy my love ones and enjoy life with them. And I want them to enjoy being with me — and being their mom.
I became a Certified Empowerment Coach in 2008. Not that I don’t have enough to do. In fact, my family, and my fulltime job as an analyst / programmer are already enough to make me pull my hair and scream at times. But I was craving for some personal fulfillment that my logical, geeky side can’t fill-in. I was longing to develop my intuitive side so I’ve decided to go through this very intensive course for 6 months. How did I manage? Well, for one, I’m smart. I’m always in the honor roll when I was still in school, up until I graduated college. No, I wasn’t a valedictorian. I said, I’m smart, not nerd. I’m also persistent. I get what I want because I work hard for it.
I also have an ebook entitled “The Powerful Habits Of Raising Confident Kids.” This is the result of my love and devotion to my family. If you read this book, you’ll see how I’m raising my kids, my family, and how I’m taking care of myself. It promotes an overall wellness lifestyle. A lifestyle I have adopted several years ago. I’m totally obsessed with anything organic and green and promote efforts of making this world a better place to live, yes, I have a prius. I try to be a good role model to my kids. It is my way of teaching, influencing, and nurturing them. I teach my children how to live by letting them watch me do it. If you’re interested in my ebook, you can visit my parenting course site, hoping you’ll buy as well. Someday, I hope to write another book and this time, publish it, and get rich!
I love sharing everything I know with just about everyone. But my friends are getting tired of me being the “all-knowing goddess of light and love” all the time so I need a new form of outlet. A channel where I can shine my light and enlighten others as well. That’s why this blog was born. This is where I talk about all “mom” things. From things that help me maintain my sanity, to things that make me a hot mom. It is my hope that through my posts, I can entertain and empower you at the same time. And if I’m feeling really good, which I do most of the time, I’ll also throw in giveaways here and there.
If you’ve read this far, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for not falling asleep on my story, and for giving me a chance to share who I really am with you.
I’d like to get to know you too so don’t hesitate to comment and speak your heart out on any of my posts. For one, I need your comments, it makes my blog look good and engaging. But for the most part, reading about your thoughts makes my day!
